The War Is Over

Mid-20^th Century Papier Mache German Toy

Every now and again an item comes along that is very special, this is one of those items. Of museum quality this mid-20^th Century German papier mache toy aims to illustrate the surrender of Nazi Germany in a playful manner. Sat in the form of a German military helmet with the words “ Kamarade” painted across it are 7 hand crafted soldier figures, with their hands raised in surrender. A brilliant piece of war memorabilia and rare survivor considering how much it would have been used and its fragile material. This item belongs in a German war museum due to its subject matter, in our humble opinion.
