For sale in this LOT is a rare late 19th Century terracotta Santos mask/fragment, placed on a bespoke cast metal stand. This religious, macabre artefact would likely have been a part of a full Santos statue which would have sat in religious bay window or hall of a church in Belgium. The fragment has been placed on a bespoke black cast metal stand to both preserve it and present it in a very artistic form. This item has a great macabre look as I’m sure you will agree, the item is sold with its bespoke stand.
