Carved Solid Wooden Horse Plaster Mould with Decorative Stand
The item for sale is a wonderful decorative 19th century hand carved solid wood horse that would have been originally used to mould either plaster statues or papier Mache moulds. The item is completely in original condition and mounted onto a bespoke cast metal black stands. It is without doubt very decorative and artistic in appearance and hold a very grand and nostalgic visual effect.
The item shows age, wear and tear through the colour of the wood and sections which have been put together to make the item a single piece ( these sections are visible in the photos provided). The wood is antique so expect it to be weathered and aged in appearance. The item is securely fixed to a stand as shown in the photos also. The item completely solid and structure sound, The front leg is missing due to a break (before we obtained it) however we feel this adds to the character of the item. With wear and tear through age as shown in the photos provided to the colour and carvings. The wood is faded and has scuffs and chips as shown in the photos.
