Antique Taxidermy Owl in a Bespoke Victorian Museum Display Unit.
For sale in this LOT is a very well preserved great example of a taxidermy owl enclosed in a bespoke handmade display case. The Owl is in overall good condition with no mites, loss of feathers or loss of colour in its visual appearance. The owl is posing in a perched observing state on a mound of earth, shrubbery and grass as shown in the photos provided. The Box is in undamaged and secure with original antique glass intact. The Inside of the display has signs of cobwebs and wear and tear to the grass, but over the colours are still strong for an item of this age we feel. It’s strongly advised to view all the photos and ask questions in advance of placing and offer or purchase to avoid disappointment and assumptions.
H 18” x W 13” x D 7”
Structurally good, surface scuffs at rear of display unit and still has its original antique newspaper pasted across it. A few old cobwebs inside the display unit and weathered look on the flowage inside the display also. Overall nothing it broken and everything is original.
