Solid Plaster Angel with Original Wooden Stand c. 1860
For sale in this LOT is a wonderful antique solid plaster church angel with its original wooden stand. This statue is dated mid-19th Century and is made from solid plaster, the paint is also original and still shows some wonderful detail across the item. Its stand is made from wood and painted with original gold gilt paint as shown in the photos provided. A wonderful majestic and truly impressive statement piece. The angel has a wonderful look with aged crackled effect across its face, this look really gives the item a truly decorative and special effect we believe and we have tried to illustrate this in the photos provided. It really is a wonderful piece and weights approximately 50KG excluding the wooden stand so please take this into considerations when considering a purchase especially from a global shipping point of view. This item would also need to be courier at the buyers cost in the UK.

Condition: This item shows signs of wear and tear due to age and use, structurally sound (please view all the photos provided and close ups for detail). The plaster I weathered and cracked in places as shown in the photos provided. The paint is also faded in places however gives a wonderful aged look we believe. The left wing does have a crack across it however this is external and doesn’t effect its stability. The stand is firm and secure also although shows fading across the wood and has a great aged patina. Overall this item is firm, secure and stand, it is very old and shows its age through weathering, cracks, faded paint and patina as explained. Its therefore strongly suggested that you get in touch to ask relevant questions request further photos if needed before a purchase is made to avoid disappointment and wasted courier costs.
