This type of item hardly come to market in such good overall original condition, a serious addition to any collector’s catalogue. The item still has its original galloping pole support section and bracket chain as shown in the photos, the layers of paint and crackled patina give this item a very artistic and unique visual effect. The item also has its original brass star shaped stud attached to one side of the head of the item (shown in the photos provided).

1880 Juvenile fairground carousel horse

For sale in this LOT is a rare original 1880s juvenile fairground carousel french horse. This item was obtained via a private fairground collector in Paris and was originally sourced from a fairground ride many years ago. The item shows some wonderful character and has a highly decorative and romantic visual look.

This item is completely authentic and untouched, structurally in wonderful condition. This type of item hardly come to market in such good overall original condition, a serious addition to any collector’s catalogue. The item still has its original galloping pole support section and bracket chain as shown in the photos, the layers of paint and crackled patina give this item a very artistic and unique visual effect. The item also has its original brass star shaped stud attached to one side of the head of the item (shown in the photos provided).

The item is completely in original condition very decorative and artistic in appearance and hold a very nostalgic visual effect.

Dimensions: L 36” x H 28” x D 8”

Condition:

The item is completely solid and structurally sound, heavily layers matte looking paint has cracked over the years revealing a terracotta colour under the white paint. The patina is a also very heavy, The item is made up of sections and cracks due to age are visually present as shown in the photos provided. So in conclusion this is an old aged, used and unrestored item so therefore it shows much wear and tear.
